GAS BUY DOWN
How would you like to receive one of the most fantastic blessings you’ll ever receive? Sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, here is what you need to do in order to receive it: Do an act of service for someone else!

In all reality, the greater blessings are received by those who serve others! It is always good to help someone else in their time of need, especially when it is done with no obligation or expectation of something in return. It just feels good to help someone because of the joy that builds up in the mind and heart knowing a life has been touched and encouraged with hope!

The NorthStar Leadership Team believes that Saturday is the day to be a blessing and to receive a blessing. Several have signed up for the Gas Buy Down event. We are grateful for them. There’s still room for more to help!

If you have not signed up please contact James Napier, jnapier1626@bellsouth.net and let him know you are going to be there. We need gas pumpers, window washers, bottled water hander-outers, invite card distributors and just some great folks who will talk to customers and let them know we are doing this to show God’s love to our community!

Meet us at the Lakewood Golf Course in PC at 8:30 AM and we will give out the location of the event. You will also be able to pick up your T-Shirt to wear while we serve our community! The shirt cost $10. The event will be over no later than Noon.

We need to show this area that NorthStar Community Church is a caring and serving church! They need to know that we are ready and willing to pay a price to help others in need. They need to know that all of us are willing to give our time, talent and resources to let the community know that God loves them very much! By the way, we have received over $600 from your generous giving! Thank You!
Yes, it does cost something to be a servant. Many aren’t willing to pay that price. They will help only if it is convenient. But that’s not NorthStar! We are a church who cares, loves and serves! Let’s prove it on Saturday. Contact James and let him know you are ready to serve in any capacity. No job is too little or great. Be here to serve!

SUMMER GROWTH GROUPS
The summer semester of Growth Groups begins this coming week! We have some great group leaders and great studies to do this summer. There’s a group for everyone! Below is the list of groups, their leaders and the materials they will be studying:

• Adam Thomas – Ignite: Refining and Purifying Your Faith – Sunday Evenings
• Walter Johnson – Can You Hear Me Now? (Communication in Marriage) – Wednesday Evenings
• Joel Walker – Character Tour – Wednesday Evenings
• Scotty Hill – Experiencing God part 2 – Wednesday Evenings
• Chris Landreau – Can You Hear Me Now? – Wednesday Evenings @ NCC

Sign-up Sunday, pick up your materials and get ready for a hot summer of Bible study with some great folks!

CLASS 101
It is always a great time to talk to people about the NorthStar story and that’s what CLASS 101: Discovering NorthStar Membership is all about. If you haven’t taken that step to commit to membership at NCC, please take the time to come to this great class to see if NorthStar is the place of belonging for you and your family!

CLASS 101 is Sunday June 29th at NCC and we begin at 5 PM. There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship area or you can email me, joelwalker@bellsouth.net to reserve your spot!
